World Description: New York City, Planet Earth, 2017 AD. The city has survived an alien attack, powered beings, and a vigilante named Frank Castle. For Curtis, the war Castle waged to avenge his murdered family had been one he initially missed but would have helped with if his old team member and friend had asked. Curtis received something of a second chance to help Frank as more information surfaced regarding Frank's murdered wife and kids. New York had more to contend with than the Punisher resurfacing when a bitter Iraq-War-Vet-turned-domestic-terrorist began setting off bombs in the city to protest his treatment by both the US government and society. Noteworthy Positive Characteristics:

Compassionate. Curtis is genuinely concerned for the well-being of others, whether it is to lend an ear or give a helping hand. He doesn't discriminate against strangers. Curtis volunteers his time to run a support group for veterans. Whether he agrees or disagrees with a view point, he gives everyone equal time to talk and checks on the members outside of group. A friend and old team member says Curtis "was always good at putting people back together" when talking about how running the support group was going. He is seen visiting a troubled young man at his home who is having a difficult time since returning from combat (Lewis).
Reliable. Both Frank and Billy Russo are heard stating that Curtis is someone they can count on. Not only did Curtis keep Frank's secret (faked death), but stated that he would've helped taking down those responsible for the death of his (Frank's) wife and kids had Frank asked him. Curtis is there when anyone needs him. He had an initial distrust of Micro but immediately responds when told by him that Frank is hurt and needs help. More than dependable, Curtis uses discretion and keeps any confidence entrusted to him. The moment Frank comes to him when it become evident someone has discovered that he isn't dead, Curtis insists he hasn't said absolutely anything that could've made someone believe otherwise.
Optimistic. Curtis tends to speak positively. He believes in others even when they don't believe in themselves. No matter how bleak Frank spoke about his role in life, Curtis prompted him to look at the world differently. He even joked to beat Frank to death if he didn't change his outlook--an effort to get Castle to smile which worked. Frank had asked him if he ever thought about the things they did in combat and Curtis answers 'all the time' yet it doesn't stop him from trying to assimilate to civilian life and help others (support group) to do the same. Curtis is proud of having served but believes there is a life outside of having been a soldier.

Noteworthy Negative Characteristics:

Tunnel vision. Curtis can have a one track mind and has put himself at risk, not seeing situations for what they really are. His concern for Lewis left him blind to how far off the reservation the young man was. Even after seeing that he'd killed a member of the support group, Curtis tried to reason with Lewis rather than report him to the authorities or even go to Frank for help. The younger man nearly beat him to death then bound him to a chair and strapped a bomb on him. Neither did he see that Billy Russo (a friend & once team member) for who he actually was; a narcissist that used the 'generous donations' to help fund Curtis' support group for a cover to the shady work his business Anvil Securities stemmed from and was involved in.
Conflicted. Although he had a smile, Curtis is seen early on in the series complaining that people can't look in the mirror and see themselves--they want to be someone else yet he had just told Frank to leave his old life behind and give his new persona (Pete Castiglione) a chance. He is then seen later on telling the support group about Cassius, a goat that the military had him care for to simulate taking care of soldiers who were wounded by IEDs. Eventually the goat had died from over exposure. There wasn't anything left that Curtis could do for it. While telling the story, scenes flash over to Frank who had been recently injured in a fight and Curtis had mended him. Curtis is visibly frustrated and unlike himself (he is usually upbeat, positive) during the story telling. It is evident that Frank's condition weighed heavily on him. The idea that helping Frank could be just like mending Cassius, eventually there will come a point where it won't save him.
Meddler. Curtis might be a man with good intentions, but sometimes those intentions result in meddling that can go wrong. Once he no longer could reach Lewis (the troubled young man stopped coming to the support group meetings and was unresponsive to a visit at home), Curtis intervened in his life. Lewis had mentioned that he was going for a job in private security for Anvil. Curtis used his connection with Billy Russo to stop Lewis from becoming a soldier again with Anvil Securities. He could've asked Billy to help him, get an expert to evaluate Lewis rather than make the judgment call not to work at Anvil and the trouble young man might not have turned into a domestic terrorist.

Powers/Abilities: Skilled combat medic and soldier. Curtis specialized in managing trauma while in the military, has had to use his talents since getting out thanks to a certain friend. However, his skill is not limited to physical care but also helping others with their internal struggle. He does not have any superpowers other than managing to get Frank Castle to smile once in a while.
Character Fears: He is afraid of feeling helpless which has happened since losing his leg. Curtis is also afraid of losing people that he's close to.
Personal Item: His prosthetic left leg.

Network Sample: [ The video started with a friendly smile. Curtis could probably win a congeniality contest, holding a soft gaze that matched his genuine closed lip grin. The feed was from the middle of his abdomen just at waist level to right above his head. From the angle, it was easy to see the device he was transmitting on was on a flat surface. A table, counter or desk that he sat at. ]

So...the multiverse. [ His hands moved up with fingers spread, emphasizing what he said. Curtis then rested one on top of the other in front of him. ] Can anyone out there help me out with that? --Specifically, what it means. I've read the definition but it's not really making sense to me. I was fine with the idea of multiple universes. It just translated into multiple galaxies.

What started confusing the shit out of me, forgive my French [ Curtis held a hand up briefly in apology. ] was the bit about it being possible to exist in more than one. Maybe I read it wrong. Science on this scale ain't really my forte. Books don't always hold the answers so I'm hoping I can rely on one of you. [ His upbeat expression turned briefly sheepish. ]
